Life in a cage, away from humans is unnatural to a dog. Although in Bogrov dogs have larger spaces and live in groups, which is a part of their natural behaviour, they also have to live in a noisy environment, with too many other animals, never alone, with little to do and with limited contact with people. By coming to walk dogs at the shelter, people are giving them an exciting experience, a lesson of friendship and vital communication. The dogs learn to walk on a lead, to be brushed, to come when called. They get to sniff outside the fence they have to look through every day of their lives and enjoy the quiet and fresh air in loving company.
