This is Koko – a lovely young lady. Her sad story is alike to the ones of many other unfortunate dogs in our streets. Born and left alone to wander in the dusty roads. Her days left by in search of food, safety, caress, and a little warmth. The days passed and the dreamt happiness didn’t smile at her, and little by little the hope went out of her eyes.
The life on the streets wasn’t for her – the starvation, the roaming life and the illnesses almost crashed her loving body and heart. Diseases full of pain and horror that would make you want to hide away from the world and never come back.
The fragile Koko went through all of this proudly and showed her unbreakable personality. She survived, but still wears the “scars” of the disease – nervous tics of her front leg will always make her different from the other dogs. But…
All the differences end here as Koko stands up for her reputation of a romp and playful dog. Just like every other dog she wants attention, love and playing, and her little infirmity has added a specific sensitivity in her personality.
After many lonely months in clinic and hotel, now Koko is in foster home as she needs to learn what the life of a pet is. She has so much to learn – to steal an apple or the remote controller now or then, to raise her voice as a real hunting dog, not to miss to chase the cat for fun ( which is definitely looking for a trouble) or to drag a slipper in her bed because isn’t that what all real dogs make!… And she’s managing more than perfect! All she wants in exchange is a little love, caress and attention and to make sure you won’t miss her she will give you back a lot more kisses and a wagging tail.
Koko is 1 year old, around 10 kg, neutered and vaccinated,
She is waiting for her Person who will look in her heart and we’ll see the hidden love and loyalty there, the ones he’ll get with only one gesture – to say: “this is my dog”!
