Genie and Choco

My name is Eugene. I am young, and lonely. Once I was with my mum, but we were separated and now I am alone. I am very young and I had to learn so many things on my own – how to find delicious scraps, and how to skilfully grab them, and how to fend for my self among others hungry fellows (not always been lucky though). I know when I am not wanted and I quietly slip away… I join little gangs just to get a bite or cuddle. I learnt where to hide when it is hot or I am simply scared.  And I am still learning-not to be scared, but to be brave. I learn not to be lonely or miss my mum and family.

I see many dogs like me walking around with their humans and they look so happy together, just like my mum and me once. I wonder how they got their humans….Now I carefully observe how to get my human, oh, I really want to find my humans! This would be my most important lesson. I have to learn! And to learn how to dream, just a little … for that time, you know….

Genie is 6 months old, healthy, neutered and vaccinated.

The ugly duckling… do you know the story? Mom used to tell it to me. I know why she called me “my clever girl”. I know why everyone kept looking at my sisters and no one ever noticed me. But at least I had my happy end waiting at the ugly duckling story. Sooner or later I too would become pretty.

Pretty… I don’t need to be a swan, just to be pretty enough to get noticed. But let’s be realistic. I will always have to be “the clever girl”. I will never be pretty. No one will ever look at me and think “oh, I want to take this gorgeous dog home” I only hope to find the person who, like me, has the brains to see past the coat and colors, straight into my heart.

Choco is 1 year old. She is neutered, vaccinated and ready for her new home!
