In reality these are Toto and Tonko, but the reason why these beauties are still in the shelter became also the reason why we gave them their nicknames. We‘ve called them “The Wobblers” for so long that nobody already remembers who is who.
The wobblers have a hereditary ataxia – they wobble when they walk, and if they are very excited or too tired – they stagger.
We don’t know whether this is due to the inner ear not properly working or to a vertebrae malformation, although they both had an MRI scan.
The wobblers came to us when they were tiny, tiny pups. They were a litter of four. Only the ones with the ataxia condition – Toto and Tonko – stayed in the shelter for so long.
Both of them are very friendly and cuddly. They can lead a completely normal life, as long as they are given the chance for a true home.
Please, share their story! Let’s find their home together!
