What an amazing weekend it was for our dogs – not only all of them get the chance to go out and spend some time with the volunteers, but two of the cages were walked both days – on Saturday and on Sunday. And that is a good reason for joy!
It was a memorable weekend. It didn’t look anything like the last one when for some unknown reason there weren’t many volunteers. And we already told you how hard the walks were for us and about the disappointment that 4 of the cages were left without a walk, waiting for the next week to come. This weekend on the contrary was full with volunteers. Most of them came for the first time and were enchanted by all the dogs they saw.
At some moments the dogs were less than the volunteers so some of them had to wait for the next cage to come out. And after every pen walked we heard the question: Are there more dogs for walks? With so many enthusiastic people we got really motivated not only to walk all of the dogs but also to take out some of them that were walked on Saturday. And we did it. You should know that this made the weekend for those lucky ones even more precious because of the double time they had for games and socialization.
After days like these we are full of positive energy and with big smiles on our faces. And with a lot of hope that there always will be people to help us and although sometimes we can’t take all of the dogs, most of the time we do and that’s why we will continue to go there. Because there is no bigger reward than the wagging tails and the love we get from those wonderful dogs!
