Our patients: Jean-Jacques

Introducing our new patients far too often sounds like: “hit by a car with a broken something”. Of course, as one of the few organizations with a veterinary clinic, we realize too often we are the only hope for injured animals, and taking care of them is a priority of ours.

But there’s something else that is also relevant – dogs should not be wandering the streets.

We do not know if Jean-Jacques was homeless before he was hit by a car. No chip, no collar, we can only assume yes.

Jean-Jacques came in with а brain swelling and a broken lower jaw. He spent a few days under 24/7 surveillance until his condition got under control. Then he was taken by Dr. Vladislav Zlatinov, who operated on his jaw and got it repaired.

On his arrival, Jean-Jacques did not allow us to touch him much, and we made sure to keep our hands off. As the pain caused by the collision with the car decreased, his desire to be left alone did the same.

The implants in his jaw will stay for one month. Only after they are removed we would be able to start writing Jean-Jacques’ new story – the story of how Jean-Jacques sought and (hopefully)  found his people!
