A late evening in the pretty Southern park of Sofia – one of our volunteers Marto is walking his dog when he stubles upon a horrid site: a helpless, suffering dog, covered with flies, in unbearable agony. Marto called us and Svetlio went over to help him bring the dog to Good Idea vet clinic where d-r Blaga Valcheva tried to do her best to help the dog till 01 a.m.
The subject of horrible cruelty this time: a male dog, someone’s pet, who was left to die and agonize for days ill with Tetanus – a very painful desease that could have been treated in the first days of contamination. The dog was put to sleep humanely that night after hours of useless efforts to ease his pain and suffering. Doctors comment that the dog must have been left to die days before he was found. The illness was at a lethal stage. Rest in peace you poor, poor boy.
