Sometimes, when it comes to old fractures, especially the very old ones, they’re better left untouched. The muscular atrophy of the affected foot has progressed, and the collateral ligaments are stretched – even if bones get fixed to start using the leg, the dog undergoes lengthy recovery and physiotherapy.
When we saw mom Alma’s x-rays, we thought this was going to be the case. We had to change our mind when we saw Alma herself – although she didn’t complain much, the pain hasn’t had subsided, and was running deeper, tendon had contracted. Alma has raised her puppy – the lovely Shayna – while tolerating this pain.
Now that Shayna and Alma are with us, it’s time for mom to get some help. In order to escape the pain and return to life on 4 feet, Alma needs you! At the moment, we are short of about 900 BGN to schedule her operation.
