We admitted Amira because of her severely deformed leg. In our heads the plan was – she comes, Dr. Zlatinov fixes her, she recovers, and for being sweet and nice she quickly founds her people and goes home.
Man plans and god laughs, as it turned out. Although she was slim and it was not visible at all, the ultrasound showed that Amira was very pregnant. We had no plans to raise another litter, but we were meant to. A week later, Amira decided to give birth in broad daylight (smart girl – she knows this kind of work is done while full of doctors around her).
The cubs are seven healthy baby boys!
That’s all, folks. Our plans for Amira got delayed by a few months, now it’s time to help her raise her boys.
