Era… the girl that SURVIVED

Our chief dog keeper Vessy took Era and her other 4 brothers and sisters from the Selsavci dog shelter last winter. Era was the tiniest pup in the group but was very playful. Unfortunately, Era got sick with a heavy form of canine distemper and started suffering from muscle twitching and seizures. She was immediately moved to a vet clinic, but the vets there though her chances of survival were extremely slim as her immune system was shot from her stay in Selsavci.

Vessy faced a tough decision to make and had hope for a miracle when she went to visit the dog. Although, Era was exhausted from the decease, she recognized Vessy and started wagging her tail. She even tried to stand up and eat. Vessy and the vets decided to fight the decease, so did the dog. After a month in the clinic, going through phases of improvement and worsening, Era beat the decease.

Now she is almost a year old and living in the Bogrov shelter. She is very playful and kind dog and nothing hints of the hell she’s been through. She is kind, gentle, sweet-tempered and very loving. Era still waits her people at the shelter. We are sure her people are out there – she survived, because she has love in her.
