The story of how Zarko spooked us out

Two weeks ago Zarko started vomiting. Followed up with examination from our doctors, blood and biochemical tests – that did not tell us the cause. Zarko was not affected by the medications and continued to vomit.

The next step was an emergency trip to Central Veterinary Clinic where they did an x-ray and an ultrasound. However, they also did not provide us with clarity, we only understood what were not the causes of the vomiting.

Zarko, who is generally terribly picky with food, completely stopped eating and resembled the living relics.
Then the medicines worked after all, the vomiting stopped, his mood improved, he began to eat – in his whimsical way, at least, so he does not starve. We never understood – neither we nor the doctors at the clinic – what had happened. And even though he is fine now, we are monitoring him closely, and he is due for a third doctor’s opinion.

Although it hurts to see him so skinny, we’re glad he’s back to the same fury and hopefully, he’ll be back to himself soon.

Five-year-old Zarko has been with us for 4 years. Some dogs are looking for their humans longer. The only reason we are able to be there for them as much as needed is you – our donors.

Sometimes, busy with emergencies and new cases, we forget to remind you that in addition to them, there are other animals on the “Farm” that need you.

If you are a subscriber to Yetel, A1, or Vivacom, you can support our work with a donation of 1lv via SMS with text DMS DOG to number 17 777.

And if you answer with DA to the question of whether you want to donate 2lv every month, you would become a regular rescuer! Not only to our emergency and new animals but as well to those like Zarko who need care every day!
