As you may remember – our old drathaar boy has been with us for a year. He was a dumped pet that never got even a single inquiry, probably because he was too old. The stars shifted for Hermann in his old age just recently. He was noticed by two kind ladies doing their best to help his fellow breedsmen and a new chapter was opened in the dawn of his life.
Hermann went to Germany a short while ago – to be fostered by a kind family there and later on taken home as far as Canada by his wonderful new owner. It all seemed like a dream to us, until it became absolutely real. Hermann has arrived in Halifax and is as happy and loved as a dog can be.
Here follows a short narration of his fabulous journey since he left us.
First night with my Mom ;-))))))
We visited her friend Gabi. And I was supposed to sleep close to her bed… Every time when she moved I stood right beside her. You never know just to make sure she will not disappear.
I think I really looked a little lost…
Excited… the plain was 4 hours delayed. 4 hours. But the nice thing was, I had more time to be with my mom. We took long walks in the forest around the airport, I was in a restaurant too. Think about that. And I did very well. At the end I was happy to be in my kennel. I jumped in and I think I did not move at all. I was sooooo tired. Sooooo many new things to see and to smell. I am an amazing dog my mom said. She was very proud about me ;-))))
We arrived in Halifax at 11 pm. The official guys at the border in Canada where very nice to me. They look terrible serious and one could get really nervous around them. But can you imagine? I am a Canadian now. Me, Hermann from the streets of Bulgaria!!!
After all the formalities where done they laughed and they said: Welcome home Hermann. Have a long and wonderful life in Canada. I was sooooo proud.
I am home !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lots of Love from Hermann
