Thank you Maya and Mitko for helping us with Belka’s and Nenny’s transport costs! We couldn’t be able to send them without you.
Nenny – the girl we picked up from Kremikovtzi with two legs only – a former frightened and starving dog went to Holland! So did her fabulous friend Belka – the mother that came to us with her pups after being severely damaged by cruel people who had sprayed her with acid. Read below for the amazing stories of these two fabulous girls:
NENNY:
When we picked up the 2-legged Nenny from Kremikovtzi she was starving, terrified by people and basically doomed – she was going to die pretty soon…
We had never seen a dog with two legs before – seing Nenny walk and run was scary and at the same time inspiring… Touched by this little dog’s nightmare Chief keeper Vessy did ALL she sould do to help our little Nenny get more self-esteem, feel stronger and safer with humans. And Nenny grew stronger with every bit of love she got from us.
Every time we took her out of the cage she looked at us with disbelief – am I really the dog you want to walk? Are you sure you’re not mistaken??? And with time Nenny learned that – yes, she was a special girl, that we would do her no harm, that there are actually GOOD people in this world…
Good luck, our sweet little flea. We love you so, so, so much. It is a dream come true to have you leaving the shelter for a better place, but we will still miss you.
NENNY IS OUR FIRST KREMIKOVTZI DOG TO BE ADOPTED!!!

BELKA:
Belka arrived in Bogrov in May after acid had been poured over her and with a horrific wound. She came with her suckling puppies all of which died in the matter of days. It took her a long time to recover. Although Belka’s puppies died and even in the horrible state she was, Belka nursed and raised TWO litters of dumped suckling puppies ALL of which survived and have been already adopted!!! Only Belka remained to wait for people in Bogrov.
Belka has the best of temperaments – she is friendly, loyal, sweet and kind. And it was not for her acid scar that she wasn’t adopted. It was for her limping – she had suffered Distemper as a youngster and will be limping and twitching with her front leg forever. We are so happy to have her rehomed – she is really a dog that deserves it.
