Puppy dumping is a common sight in Bulgaria. Instead of neutering their dogs, irrisponsible owners throw their puppies out, again and again. While castration remains a scary word in Bulgarian many unwanted newborns are paying the price. If they are lucky the so-called “owners” would wait for them at least to be reared to stand a chance, but many are left to die alone in the first days of their lives. These little ones were thrown out as far as kilometers out in the woods to be found by tourists. They were frozen, hungry and face an uncertain future while we look for a mother to nurce them.
