Dear friends,
we are thrilled to let you know that our work together with the wonderful people of Ovidefarm has resulted in yet another 20 saved animals!
After being here for a week the Ovidefarm team chose a bunch of kind-hearted girls and boys from the shelter to go to Holland where they would be adopted through their shelter / doggy hotel. Some of the dogs on this transport have spent over a year with us and we couldn’t be happier to see them go to their own loving homes in care and safety.
So here is the lucky group who have already settled in happily in Holland:
By all means the cats must be the first ones to brag about! You know the long and sad stories of the abandoned kittens – raised and grown up in the shelter. It was heartbraking, but we managed to save them. And they grew and grew and grew, untill it turned out they are 7 months old and the prospects of them getting adopted are going down… People came to see them and left – were they not cute enough, or was it destiny… No idea! But it is a fact these wonderful young cats were completely stuck. The great news is that the 5 of them have finally left the shelter’s washing room for good! They will be found perfec homes and start a normal, happy cat life thanks to our new friends at the fabulous Kat & Ko!

Jim, Chika and Brownie may be familiar to you through our “Be a godfather” donation game at our birthday party. Jim and Chicka are siblings – they come from a litter that was destined to drown, but had amazing luck. Brownie has also been with us since a newborn – for the 3 of them the shelter is the only life they’ve known. What a pleasant surprise awaits them in Holland!

Polly, Tina and Cookie – the Kremikovtzi sweethearts! You cannot imagine what kind of pain and horror these lucky ladies have endured so far in their lives. Polly we took in as a small frightened puppy – her front paw was badly injured and she was terrified of people. Today she is a healthy, friendly girl. Tina and Cookie were not hurt when we took them in, but they had starved badly to the brink of exhaustion. They will never have to be hungry again!

Ayla, Fly, Fara and Megan have all been with us since tiny puppies. They have grown up in the shelter, becoming friendly, sweet-tempered, social dogs with allot of love for people. Each one of them was abandoned, unwanted, destined for a life of pain and misery. Instead – they are now waiting with Ovidefarm in Holland for the right people to show up for their adoption. We are sure they will find their own home very soon!

Mark and Vihra had waited so long for love to find them – both of them have spent over a year in loneliness without luck. Mark was fostered for a few months, then he came to the shelter where he grew up to be a beautiful dog. Vihra has also been with us for over a year, 16 months to be exact. Both these sweet souls have “payed” their happiness, they can now enjoy it completely!

May we have your attention for three amzing ladies who will be missed and were sent with wet cheeks – Riva, Rona and Spark. These girls were very special to us and we couldn’t be happier to have them with Ovidefarm and in Holland. Riva is a huge-sized, huge-hearted lady who was destined to die in the municipal pound in Seslavci. We transferred her beleiving she would be a quck case – who wouldn’t want such a sweet white elphant! But then Riva spent a year with us and not a single inquiry was made about her… She must have seemed too big to people. Then comes Rona – a girl with a record of 14 months in the shelter – she came as a tiny puppy, but had already seen so much harm from people it took her many months to recover and start trusting us. Today she is a joyful, sweet creature with a happy life ahead of her. And finally – our dear sweet Spark – such a bundle of love! She came to us with her whole litter of 6. 4 pups went to Asutria, but two remained. One to go with little Spark being happily settled in Ovidefarm, hurray!

We want to specially thank the people from Ovidefarm for their great help, their love for animals and their will to help as many as they can. It was great having you here, we hope to be saving more lives together!
