Thank you for helping us re-vaccinate all the dogs at our shelter!

Dear friends,
the time has come to re-vaccinate the grown-up heroes at the shelter – our big dogs.

By Bulgarian law we are only obliged to vaccinate against Rabies. But it is of utmost importance to vaccinate our dogs regularly, because we have many animals coming in all the time, and we have a high risk of infections. Distemper, Parvovirosis, Hepatitis… Along with the corona-virus these are the illnesses that kill most dogs in local “shelters”. These are the diseases most dangerous for our pals as well.

As you know, in the last two months we took in and prepared a record number of puppies – twice tan what we are usually able to do. This means that we have currently spent every possible chance to get a free vaccine somewhere. We have used over 600 vaccines in the last three months. And now we need to find 200 more, before the end of January.

Please, help us buy vaccines for our adult dogs. They too need protection. No matter how clean we keep things, the viruses are everywhere – our dogs carry them, having being ill before being brought to the shelter.

The sum needed totals at 934 Euro.

If you have any possibility of helping, even by very little, please do. Regular, punctual re/vaccination is one of the most important things that create the difference between our shelter and the typical local concentration camp for dogs.
