Маrk the Delightful

Posted on 16 May 2012

Hi, my name is Mark and I live on the planet from 8-9 months. Together with my brother Tempo, in the beginning of this year we were living very poorly in the parking lot of a hypermarket. One day, a blue van of Ecobalance arrived – they were going to take us to get neutered, and we were still so young for this. This is when our guard angel came, in the face of a human, and prevented this to happen by taking us with her.

Ever since, I live in a hotel and they take perfect care of me there – I’m vaccinated, dewormed regularly, micro-chipped, neutered, and as a consequence I grew up wonderful and big, the size of a German shepherd dog. I’m very social, I love everybody, or to be even clearer – I love playing with everybody, I just adore going crazy playing with other dogs! My leash is very obedient, it walks perfectly with me. I have hygiene manners, and I even know a couple of commands. In other words – I’m DELIGHTFUL. Does anyone want to take me home?

Sani’s second life

Posted on 08 May 2012

Sani is a dog, which was a traveller towards death. Her story is the one of the regular abandoned dog with a huge heart, loving people. She was found on an interurban road walking like a skeleton – skin and bones. She was so frantic with starvation; she did not have anything in her stomach, so the skin was agglomerated and hanging below her pelvis.

Sani’s first photos in the beggining

Doomed to change this painful sight, her rescuer decided to take care of her. Sani accommodated in the car as it was her car. It turned out she was a young dog, just a couple of months old, she looked like an abandoned domestic pet. Sani is blind with one of her eyes; maybe she was hurt in so accident. Her rescuer has taken care of deworming, vaccinating, neutering, passport and micro-chipping and she is completely ready for adoption.

What a lovely dog she has become!

She is of medium size (30kgs) and is currently almost 2 years old. The blindness with one of her eyes does not limit her in any way and does not require special medical care. She is very friendly and social dog, absolutely loving human attention and games. She is obedient, walks perfectly on a leash and knows the commands “sit down” and “lie down”. She has self-confidence, but she is not aggressive towards people, including children, or towards animals. She is very friendly and charming and is liked by all.

URGENT: Rudy needs a new home!

Posted on 08 May 2012

Rudy is a dog that was rescued from the street – he was found frozen, hungry and very scared. It was an elderly couple that took him in – kind people who took care of him with great love.  They had a hard time – he grew to become a large, energetic dog. But now – when the elderly man fell and broke his arm things became nearly impossible for them.  It is a series of disasters that force the family to look for a new home for Rudy – their older son recently passed and the younger had a stroke…  After all this the poor old woman is urgently calling for help – she wants to find him a loving home as soon as possible, she can’t leave him out in the street. Rudy is 2,5 years old, neutered and vaccinated, very loving, good and spoiled, he loves to run and play. He and his family really need help in this difficult moment. Please, help if you can!

Raffy in need again

Posted on 06 May 2012 Post a comment

Do you remember sweet Rafaelo? A lovely little dog who was hit by a car and had to have a complicated surgery at the Central Vet clinic. He was rehomed by a wonderful family and has been doing absolutely great. Unfortunately his family is going through a togh time and can’t give him the best of cares anymore. Raffy is looking for a loving home again. Here is what his human mother has to say about him:

“It’s become impossible for us to keep Raffy, please help us find him a good home. He has no breed, but he’s handsome and obedient. He’s 7 months old, has received all the necessary vaccines, anti-parasite treatments, has a microchip and will soon be neutered. We would like to cover his food and vet bills until the end of the year, but we are only going to give him up to a good family who will love him. We have to give him up through no fault of his and we’re so sad to do it. We would be so grateful if his new family allowed us to visit him or take him out for walks every now and then.

Raffy is a good student and very eager to please – he follows instructions like “stop”, “sit” and “stay” (especially before crossing the street or going up/down stairs), also “no”, “here” and “give me your paw”. He still needs some coaching, but he’s definitely very clever. He is very much aware of the zones which are out of bounds for him – doesn’t walk into the kitchen or climb on furniture, he’s careful around our child and doesn’t bully the cats (well, not too much anyway). He’s obedient during walks, we’re now working on the command “by me”, but of course we walk him on a leash as he’s still very curious and wants to sniff every other person and dog. He’s quite happy to be tied up and wait for me when I go into a shop or sit down at the park. He’s playful, like every other pup, but he runs out of steam pretty quickly. He’s kind, has very gentle eyes and it just a generally goofy good-natured dog.”

Bubka

Posted on 01 May 2012

Her name is Bubka, and she’s around 4 years old. Very good, graceful and kind dog. A real Missy. Spayed, sterilized and socialized. She has friendly disposition and is well mannered. She loves people, and they love her. She loves to be cuddled and caressed. Bubka is always ready to express her gratitude by giving big juicy kisses. J Bubka is never pushy, a bit shy, but once she gets your attention she radiates happiness and love.

Bubka is friendly not only to people but also to other dogs. She has always lived easily in the company of other dogs. She loves their company as she always is looking for a good play with them. Bubka is easily making new friendships.

Unfortunately, the story of Bubka is not as happy as it seams. She was shot in her leg more than 5 times. The only ray of light in this bleak story is the kindness and tenderness of one lady who took care of her and saved her. That lady helped Bubka survive and overcome the severe stress she suffered. Bubka is the perfect company for quiet families, as well as and for more active ones. Due to the fact she is not too large in size, she can live in apartment as well.

The neighborhood where Bubka lives in Sofia is one of the most dangerous for strays like her. Last week there were founded 6 poisoned dogs and Bubka was shot in the leg.

Bubka is much loved by us, because we are not afraid to give her love, but after two shootings in the leg, we have realized that it is high time to find her shelter and owners, who can protect her and to whom she will devote all her love. If you are looking for tenderness, love and eyes full of affection, Bubka is your girl!
