CRY FOR HELP: Joan of Dark

Update 16:40:
Thank you, dear friends, for your generousity and good hearts!
The money for Joan are collected! Now we all can only pray for her! Thank you!!!

Her name is not a typo. She is not a saint, nor a commander. She is not the Virgin of Orleans. She is just a little dog girl, almost a baby.  Unfortunate one, came in this unwanted, lived unloved, so young, but already experienced an indescribable pain. Pain too big not only for her age, but for her pure heart as well.

Joan was born in the village of Gulubovtsi  from a homeless mother. She lived only two months before she met her tormentor. Defenseless and tiny –probably she didn’t resist much. Perhaps she was just crying. Crying, while  “the crown of nature” had kicked and pounded. Crying, while  the “man” was  cutting her with a knife,  while he was chopping  these tiny baby paws …

ATTENTION! The next images may disturb you!

Joan has 12 cuts on her legs. Some are superficial, but most are deep and have cut the nerves and bones. There are fractures as well- where she was kicked and the fragile paws were broken. We can only imagine the pain and horror she has experienced … She stayed like that for a few days, before someone  who cares to notice her and bring her to us.

We will chase the monster who did this to Joan. If the police do not want to investigate – we will chase them as well. If that does not help – we will ask you for help in filing complaints. It is about time for the police and prosecution to understand that cruelty against animals is a crime not only by law but also by the citizens of this country.

We brought Joan at the Central Vet Clinic. Dr. Zlatinov will do his best to save her and her paws – one operation and one external fixative for the broken bones. Unfortunately, the blood loss and the infection made the condition of Joan really bad. She needs 24 hours vet observation and tests we cannot provide in the Farm. She will stay at least one week in the clinic. But for this, we need money we do not have. Saving Joan’s life and paws will cost about 500 levs and once again we need your help.

Please, donate for the little Joan!
